Topiary

Post by Terrainosaur »

Famous musicians wake up with songs in their heads. I wake up with weird ideas for game scenery. Take this for example. I woke up and thought, "Topiary!"

Topiary is the art of creating sculptures in the medium of clipped trees and shrubs. It occurred to me that I could use old miniatures as garden sculptures. They fit in well with the Chaotic Evil Dire Gazebo of Death.

I put an unnecessary amount of effort into these, to prevent people from recognizing the figures underneath them. But you can take any junk miniatures (*cough* Dream Blade *cough*), coat them in glue and cover them in flock. The other figure is a D&D Miniatures figure with a 1" base, for scale.

More deadly plants

Post by Terrainosaur »

These might be creatures turned into plants, similar to how a medusa turns people into stone. Or maybe they're deadly plants that grow into interesting shapes. Or maybe a wicked druid created them and gave them life as a punishment to interlopers.
