This is Andy's new swamp set. He intended it for his Warhammer Fantasy lizardman army, but that would only work if you play Warhammer Skirmish. So he uses it for Warhammer 40k terrain instead ... that's why I posted it under his Science Fiction gallery. Those are my Space Marines in the pictures, for scale. They're just base-painted and don't have any details yet.

Here's the first piece. As you can see, it's based on a hardboard (medium density fiberboard) with some texture. Then he adds Hirst Arts blocks, lichen and aquarium plants. Most of this is held together with plain white glue and a hot glue gun.

This one uses mostly aquarium plants, but also pieces of straw to form patches of tall grass.

This part of the swamp is boggy and has lots of high grasses.

Some Hirst Arts pieces form a crumbled wall, on what must be slightly higher ground.

A nice, long strip of ground with mega-plants is a perfect piece of science fiction terrain.

This large piece has all the elements, plus Andy put some together to make strange plants.

And here are some walls to stand behind while gunning down daemons, heretics and xenos.
