Army Display Board

Post by Terrainosaur »

You might want to stretch your browser window ... these pics are wide. :-)

At tournaments players built boards to carry their armies around on, and to display them. Games Workshop got ahead of that and began Armies On Parade, encouraging players to build attractive display boards for their armies. This is mine. It's 24" x 24". The base is simple wood. On the bottom are soft pads to protect anything should I set it down on a piece of terrain.

The handles are for gates, bought from the hardware store. The walls are from Hirst Arts molds. I cast three molds 8 times each: the Octagon Tower Mold (#63), the Prison Tower Mold (#60), and the Gothic Dungeon Builder Mold (#45). The Fieldstone Wall Mold (#70) was used for the skirting wall to keep miniatures from sliding off.
